About Us

Help to the homeless Poverty exists in Montreal. Montreal has one of the highest urban poverty levels in Canada. Individuals, children, seniors, single-moms - thousands of people every week - must resort to the city's food banks and community kitchens in order to meet their most basic needs.

Poverty is not just a question of money. The most underprivileged are often disadvantaged in many ways. Those who are lacking food are all too often equally deprived of affection, friendship, and direction and meaning in their lives. The activities of the Mission of the Great Shepherd are designed to help meet all these important needs.

We are a non-profit humanitarian organization located in the Pointe Saint Charles area of Montreal, offering hot meals, a food bank, free access to computers, a community store as well as reference and counseling services.
